About Breathable Air Helmet  Racecar Systems

Racing Breathing Air Helmet Systems are specifically engineered to keep drivers cool, prevent visor fogging, and block hazardous track debris.

Instead of relying on passive airflow, these systems connect directly to an external pumper unit to actively deliver fresh, filtered air into the helmet.

Air systems are designed to provide a constant flow or on-demand air to the driver in the event of a fire.
The composite bottle holds 5 to 10 minutes of air, depending on the flow setting. The system includes a flow control regulator, ball valve, 8 ft fire-rated hose, hose fittings, a 3000 PSI-rated bottle (114 cubic inches), and a shut-off valve assembly.

How the Air System Works

  • Active Pressurisation: The helmet connects to a vehicle-mounted fresh air pumper via a specialized hose.
  • Overhead Cooling: Fresh air is routed across the top of the driver’s head to reduce fatigue.
  • Anti-Fog Shielding: Clear air is directed down across the face shield to maintain visibility.
  • Debris Mitigation: Constant positive pressure prevents dust, track rubber, and toxic fumes from entering.

Our Air Fills

At Fire System Services, we provide professional air fill services for both SCBA Composite and SCUBA cylinders, ensuring safety and reliability every time.

Our facility is equipped to handle air fills up to 200 bar and 300 bar, meeting the needs of racecar drivers, emergency responders, and industrial users alike.

With strict quality control and a focus on clean, breathable air, you can trust us to keep your cylinders ready for use when it matters most.

Insufficiently filtered air from the compressor can pose serious health risks to users of breathable air bottles. Some may underestimate these risks in an effort to cut costs, but the savings are often insignificant compared to the potential consequences.

The PureAir standard gives scuba diving enthusiasts peace of mind, as it is awarded only to companies with BAUER breathing air compressors that meet the highest quality standards.

The exclusive BAUER PureAir seal guarantees that divers receive pure breathing air in accordance with European standards.

Gas Measurement With Dräger-Tubes

Fire System Services uses Dräger Tubes for all quality sampling tests. This allows us to be confident that the air we provide is of the safest quality.

Dräger-Tubes are a reliable solution for quick and accurate gas measurements. Pre-calibrated and user-friendly, they help ensure safety wherever air contaminants must be measured. Our gas detector tubes and MicroTubes can detect over 500 different gases, particularly at lower concentrations. Whether you need to monitor workplace air quality or conduct technical gas analysis, trust Dräger for precise and efficient gas detection with Dräger-Tubes.

Hydrostatic Pressure Testing of Composite Gas Cylinders

Our licensed gas cylinder testing station is equipped to assess high-pressure gas cylinders used in motorsports.

These high-pressure gas cylinders are used to store and transport a range of gases, including carbon dioxide, nitrogen, nitrous oxide, and fire-fighting foams such as Cold Fire.

Importantly, these gas cylinders do not have a designated end-of-life date and are eligible for refilling throughout the Commonwealth of Australia.

National Hydro Cylinder Testing Services offers hydrostatic testing at various pressures, ranging from as low as 1.0 MPA to as high as 100 MPA, utilizing both Proof Test and Volumetric Expansion Test methods.

We provide certified hydrostatic testing for SCBA cylinders to ensure safety, compliance, and reliability.

Our testing process assesses cylinder strength and integrity under pressure, helping prevent failures and extend service life.

Equipped with professional tools and staffed by qualified technicians, we deliver precise results and certification to maintain the safety and readiness of your SCBA cylinders.

Our Services

The Company offers various services to Australia’s Motor Sports Racing Vehicle Community.

We can help if you have imported a fire or gas cylinder from overseas and must meet the guidelines so it can be refilled according to the Gas Cylinder Test Scheme.
