Hearing Impaired solutions

It is vital that people who are deaf or hard of hearing have the right smoke alarms in their home to protect them and give them that valuable time to escape from a house fire. Brooks manufacture specialist smoke alarms for the deaf and hearing impaired. These alarms have a strobe light and a vibrating pad to alert them that the alarm has been activated.

AudioLINK™ makes it easy to get real time data directly from smoke alarms and Carbon Monoxide (CO) alarms, saving time, money and lives. All you need is an AudioLINK™ enabled alarm, a smartphone or tablet and the free AudioLINK™ app.

AudioLINK technology offers the following benefits:

  • Extraction can be done on-site without having to remove the alarm – ensuring continued detection.
  • The simple to read report is generated straight away – giving details of any incidents immediately.
  • Data can be extracted for AudioLINK™ alarms again and again.
  • Information is stored for the life of the alarm enabling historic information to be retained.
  • The Alarm Status Report provides evidence required for maintenance records.
  • The report can be emailed to form part of a property’s record.

Report Storage and Sharing

All of this information can be emailed directly from the phone or tablet to one or multiple addresses, being sent as a pdf report for the property or exported as a .csv file for simple integration with housing management and maintenance systems.

Additional information can be added to the report to help link it to a specific alarm and to communicate important and helpful information.

  • Add the alarm serial number to the report using the built-in barcode scanner.
  • Multiple reports from a property can be grouped together in one report.
  • ‘Use previous address’ prompt to save time when entering address details.
  • Storage of email contacts within the app.
  • Indicate the current alarm status as either OK, Service or Replace.

Extract the Data in 3 Easy Steps

Step 1 – Press the test button on the alarm 3 times
Step 2 – The alarm will emit a number of beeps. The phone/tablet will pick these up (via the microphone)
Step 3 – The AudioLINK™ App will generate and display the Alarm Status Report.

The EIB3016 is a Photoelectric Smoke Alarm with 230V AC mains power supply with a non removable rechargeable lithium battery back-up.

The EIB3016 alarm features a high performance photoelectric smoke sensor, ideal for detecting smoke from slow, smouldering fires. In addition, the chamber design, integrated insect screen and unique dust compensation algorithm reduce the risk of false alarms.

The EIB3016 is powered by 230V AC mains. In the event of mains failure, the rechargeable 10-year built-in non-removable lithium battery will provide up to 3 months power supply in the case of a wireless RF installation or up to 6 months in any other case.

The AudioLINK feature facilitates acoustic download of the alarm parameters and status using the AudioLINK app.

The EIB3016 can operate as a standalone alarm or can be interconnected either by hard-wire or wirelessly (using the EIB3000MRF module) enabling it to communicate with compatible Brooks alarms and accessories. Up to 12 devices can be interconnected.

The EIB3016 self-checks its sensor, battery voltage and internal circuitry every 48 seconds. Any fault condition found will be indicated by a combination of yellow LED flashes and chirps.

The memory feature allows an alarm that has previously activated to be easily identified (through the red flashing LED).

The EIB3024 is a Multi-Sensor Alarm with 230V AC mains power supply with a non removable rechargeable lithium battery back-up.

The EIB3024 is a Multi-Sensor alarm containing 2 separate sensing elements, intelligently monitored, in order to detect the presence of fire. Using its intelligent dual monitoring, it responds much faster to all fire types (TF1 to TF6 & TF8) than a traditional single sensor Alarm. In addition, the chamber design, integrated insect screen and unique dust compensation algorithm reduce the risk of false alarms.

The EIB3024 is powered by 230V AC mains. In the event of mains failure, the rechargeable 10-year built-in non-removable lithium battery will provide up to 3 months power supply in the case of a wireless RF installation or up to 6 months in any other case.

The EIB146RC is a Photoelectric Smoke Alarm with 230V AC mains power supply with a replaceable Alkaline battery back-up.

The EIB146RC is supplied with the Brooks Easi-fit™ base to facilitate quick and simple installation, combined with simple smoke alarm head removal and replacement. The Easi-fit™ base automatically connects both mains power and battery as the smoke alarm head slides on.

The EIB146RC may operate as a standalone Alarm or may be interconnected to other Alarms via a wired or wireless system. For a wireless system, each Alarm must be fitted with an EIB168RC RadioLINK™ base. When interconnected, all alarms in the system will sound when smoke is detected.

The Alarm is fitted with a Test / Silence button to facilitate frequent testing of your Alarm and System. The Silence function allows the Alarm / System to be silenced in the case of a false / nuisance alarm, e.g. cooking fumes.

The EIB146RC is fitted with a mains “power on” green LED indicator and red LED indicator for various conditions.

The memory feature allows an Alarm that has previously activated to be easily identified (the red LED flashes twice every minute for 24 hours).

The EIB650iC Photoelectric Smoke Alarm operates on the light scatter principle to detect smoke particles entering the photoelectric chamber.

The EIB650iC is microprocessor based which delivers compelling user benefits such as the unique automatic dust compensation feature which minimises nuisance alarms due to dust build up in the photoelectric chamber without compromising the functionality of the smoke alarm.

The EIB650iC also supports Brooks AudioLINK™ which enables anyone to download the alarm diagnostics and statistics to a smart mobile device via a free Brooks AudioLINK™ alarm app. This takes the guesswork out of the alarm status and use.

The EIB650iRF photoelectric smoke alarm is fitted with a proprietary photoelectric sensor to quickly sense low energy smoke particles. The EIB650iRF is a EIB650iW fitted with a EIB600MRF module.

The EIB650i range features a high performance photoelectric chamber protected by a sealed mesh screen to reduce insect and dust contamination and EMC protection to reduce false alarms. In addition the EIB650iRF has an automatic dust compensation feature reducing further the risk of false alarms caused by dust build up.

The EIB650iRF communicates wirelessly via its pre-installed EIB600MRF RadioLINK module with compatible Brooks alarms and accessories. Up to 12 RF devices can be interconnected.

The EIB650iRF self-checks its chamber sensor, battery voltage and internal circuitry every 40 seconds. Any fault condition found will be indicated by a combination of Yellow LED flashes and sound beeps.

The alarm has a twist on mounting base which has multiple fixing points so it can be easily installed. The alarm is not powered until it is twisted onto the mounting base, thus avoiding battery power consumption during storage and prior to installation.

The EIB605C Photoelectric Smoke Alarm operates on the light scatter principle to detect smoke particles entering the optical chamber.

This Photoelectric Smoke Alarm is sensitive to all domestic fire types but is especially sensitive to visible smouldering fires.

The EIB605C modular design allows it to be upgraded for RadioLINK™ functionality with the addition of an RF module EIB605MRF. The EIB605C is powered by a 9V Alkaline battery (supplied).

The EIB3014 is a Heat Alarm with 230-vol AC primary mains power supply and a non-removable, rechargeable lithium battery back-up designed to last for 10 years.

The EIB3014 is a Heat Alarm with Class A1 heat detection. It is ideal for rooms where smoke alarms cannot be installed without the risk of excessive nuisance alarms like the kitchen, garage, etc.

The EIB3014 can only be used as part of a fire detection system, ie. interconnected with Brooks mains powered Multi-Sensor or Smoke Alarms. It can be interconnected either by hard-wire or wirelessly (using the EIB3000MRF module). Up to 12 devices can be interconnected.

It contains a proven electrochemical CO sensor to detect the presence of toxic levels of CO as well as an independent fast acting Class A1 Thermistor sensor to detect dangerous levels of heat, hence eliminating the need for installing 2 products in areas where both types of detection will be required.

The EIB3028 is powered by 230V AC mains. In the event of mains failure, the rechargeable 10-year built-in non-removable lithium battery will provide up to 3 months power supply in the case of a wireless RF installation or up to 6 months in any other case.

The AudioLINK feature facilitates acoustic download of the alarm parameters and status using the AudioLINK app.

The EIB603TYC has a 10-year Lithium battery that is non-replaceable. The EIB603TYC should always be interconnected to other smoke alarms in the dwelling or escape routes to ensure that all occupants are alerted to the danger.
