Our Carbon Footprint

Fire System Services takes its responsibility for the environment and its Carbon Footprint seriously.

Investing our energy, time, and financial resources to develop new technologies on how we manage our C02 Footprint.

Carbon Dioxide Agents

In the past, the fire safety industry has been a polluter with regard to Co2 discharges. Dispelling thousands of kilos of C02 into the atmosphere to test C02 fire cylinders and suppression cylinders.

Fire System Services knew things would need to be rethought if we are going to make a change in this area. We know are developing methodologies on how we harvest C02 discharges not to discharge them to the atmosphere.

This methodology is a win for the environment, a win for the company as it’s not needing to purchase volumes of C02.

The CO2 that we are starting to harvest is able to be reused in fire-fighting cylinders.

Dry Chemical Powder Agents

With our methodology in harvesting ammonium phosphate powders, we are able to capture the dry chemical powders, retests the fire extinguishers then re-atomise the ammonium phosphate then reuse it in the fire extinguishers.

This allows us to minimise our carbon footprint in waste fill.

This also allows our customers to help reduce their carbon footprint when it comes to conducting their 5 yearly tests for their dry powder fire fighting extinguishers.

Clean Agent

The company is looking at new methodologies is harvesting clean agents such as FM200, Halotron, Inergen.

Capturing, cleaning, and reusing such agents will greatly assist transportation industries such as the aviation industry.

Commercial and Defence Aviation

Our up-and-coming methodologies will greatly assist various aviation companies plus our Australian Defence Aviation fleet to reduce their carbon footprint with agent capture.

Aircraft predominately use vaporising liquid firefighting cylinders for engine fire bottles and in-cabin fire extinguishers for aircrew.

PFAS AFFF Foam Agents

Fire System Services is working with various suppliers and Gov Agencies in reducing and disposing of PFAS AFFF  foam agents.
