Are all Racecar NOS Bottles the Same?
There are multiple types of NOS Gas Cylinders for the auto racing community ranging from Composite Gas Cylindres to Aluminium Gas Cylinders.
Aluminium Gas Cylinders have a test cycle of every (10) ten years.
Composite Gas Cylinders have a test cycle of every (5) five years.
NB: It should be noted the Composite Bottles depending on the OEM have a various life cycle of from the date of manufacture.

Before Refilling Requiremets
Before re-gasing, any NOS cylinder either new or old, They must be checked to see if the cylinder test stamp is current.
A new cylinder must be tested, and bear a current Australian Gas Cylinder Test Stamp prior to the first fill, this is in accordance With the Gas Cylinder Test Scheme and AS2337 & AS2030.
Older Cylinders must be retested on a (10) Ten yearly cycle by an approved licenced gas cylinder test station.

Failing to do so leaves the operator and the re-filler at risk of injury and prosecution if someone is injured.
